Security update KB832483 keeps reappearing

I recently reformatted my laptop disk and reinstalled Windows 2000,
followed by installation of service packs and all security updates etc.

Everything went well, but there is a minor glitch: The update alert for
Security update KB832483 keeps reappearing!

I have already installed it several times and the system says
installation was successful, but it just keeps coming up!

Any suggestions?
