Windows Update KB832483

Every time I run windows update scan it tells me
that "Security Update for Microsoft Data Access Components
(KB832483)" needs to install on computer even though I
have already successfully installed several times.

I am having this problem as well, along with others in my
office. I created a new thread about this, I apologize I
did not see your post. We are also trying to send support
a message about this, hopefully they will get enough
feedback and make a decision to correct the problem.

Same here. I also have installed this update 12 times,
but it keeps coming back for more.

The fix was to download and install the upgrade of MDAC to version 2.8, then install the KB832483 patch. Just do a search on the main site for MDAC 2.8, and it will direct you to the download.

instructions below, but this is the jist of it.
