In Security Center under Control Panel, I set the option to notify me when
security updates are available for download, rather than automatically
download & install updates. Every time I boot up, however, the yellow
security shield icon appears in the task bar, and when you drag the cursor
over it you see "Downloading updates: 0%". The shield stays there for a
while, and this appears to be slowing down by boot up time. Anyone know 1)
why the shield shows up at startup and tries to download, although nothing is
there to downlaod (it always says 0%) then goes away after a while of
presumably taking up resources and slowing down boot up time, 2) how can I
get rid of it at Startup?
Thanx
