Security accounts manager

I have a Windows 2000 server with service pack 4. I was working in IIS and
did something wrong. On a normal startup I get the message that the security
accounts manager cannot start with the code 0xc00002e1 and to startup in
Directory Services Restore Mode. I've searched the knowledge base and tried
everything but it still won't startup normally. It also will not log into
the domain or startup in anything but DSRM.

Thanks for any help.

Check the permissions on your system drive and %systemroot%\ntds. The System
account must have full control on c:\, %systemroot% and below.
