Second Windows Mail account not receiving

Mike

I really hope someone can help me with this because it is driving me crazy.

Can't see emails for second account
I have set up my emails on Windows Mail. I have 2 email accounts set up.

First account is fine, can send and receive.

Second account can send emails but can't receive. When I hit the
send/receive key it tries to find second account emails but doesn't actually
display them. All the messages in the inbox are for the first account and
non showing from secondary account. There is no error message when I
send/receive. When I go under tools and look at the second account
properties, the "Include this account..." box is already checked. Thank
you in advance.

Is the second account truly an independent account with its own
username, or is it merely an alias for the first account?
Send an email from the second account to itself. Does it arrive?
When you go to the server via webmail (using your browser),
can you see messages sitting in that second account's mailbox?

Click on the little triangle next to the Send/Recv button. From the
drop-down, click on the 2nd account. Does it go through the motions
of contacting the server? Any error message?

I'm am also having the same problem.
Sent numerous e-mails from 2nd e-mail account to itself. They do reside on
the server (browser).
So I can send but not receive. Have gone through the service provider with
no luck.
Any suggestions.

Gary thank you for your help in this problem. If I click the Send/Recv it
does look at the second account and there isn't any error message. I also
sent a messge to myself from the second account and then checked it from the
sites homepage on my browser and it was there. When you ask if it is a
seperate account or an alias I am not sure what you mean. The main, default
account which works fine, is "(e-mail address removed)" and the second account
is "different (e-mail address removed)".

I am not privy to Charter's account naming conventions, but there
is a possibility that their mail server would consider '(e-mail address removed)'
to be equivalent to '(e-mail address removed)'. I'm assuming that the
'username' part is the same for both?
Have you asked Charter if that method really gives you two distinct email
accounts?
