Second physical drive disappeared

Hi,

I have 2 physical HD's in my PC.

HD1 runs Windows XP Pro SP2, HD2 is supposedly the swapdisk for it.

All was working great until my last system format (of HD1). This wiped all
partitions on HD1 (which I am still recovering.

I have just noticed that HD2 has vanished completely.

How can I regain its visability in Windows?

Thanks,

Neil

You formatted HD1 ? And you wonder where your swap file
went ?

This is great, tell me another story, daddy.

Uninstall the IDE channel in Device Manager and restart. On reboot it will
reinstall automatically.

Many thanks for that.

However, I found another quick and dirty way.

In Administrative Tools -> Computer Management, I found the HD to be
showing as healthy, but with no drive letter. As it was only used as swap
and nothing else, I deleted the 'partition', quick formatted it, and it
appeared.

Thanks,

Neil

When you found the HD in Disk Management, was it showing as having a file
system ?
