Hi,

I plan to move my Win XP Home system + boot partitions on another bigger
hard drive... is it possible ? Will i have activation problems (OEM version) ?

actual:
HD1(small) : [C: boot partition] [I: Win XP system partition]
HD2(big) : [D: free partition]
HD3: [numerous data partitions....]

final:
HD1(small) : i want to unplug this HD
HD2(big) : [C: boot partition] [I (or D: if possible ?): Win XP system
partition]
HD3: [numerous data partitions....]

thank you for your comments and help !

Eric

You shouldn't have activation probs, but you will need specialist software to
do the transfer. Ghost or Drive Image are suitable. You'll probably also want
some means of booting to DOS with CD support, as these tools tend to work
that way.

Ok, but i'm afraid of booting problems... if i move C:, i will have to make
C: "active partition" again after moving it ?
