Second drive does not show contents, seems partitioned

Hi, I am having a real problem and need help!! I
installed a second hard drive in my system after having
problems with my original hard drive. I disabled the
drive I was having problems with, and installed and loaded
windows xp on the new drive. After loading windows xp, I
hooked up the OLD hard drive, hoping to transfer all the
information I had on it to the new hard drive. When I
went to my computer, all that was showing was a very small
partition of just under 2 GB's, the drive is an 80 GB
drive and I have some very important information on that
drive that I need to transfer. Is there anyway I can get
that information that is hidden by the partition?
If you could email me privately at (e-mail address removed),
I would appreciate it.
Thanks.
Mariah

Hi, Mariah.

Use Disk Management (diskmgmt.msc at the Run prompt) to initialize the old
drive. See the Help file in Disk Management for details.

OK. I'll email just this ONCE and only because you asked. That's NOT the
way newsgroups work, you know. Email can't benefit more than the two people
involved. Newsgroups can benefit everybody. Please DO NOT email me in
response, not even a Thank You. But, please post back your results here so
that others may learn from your experience. ;<)
