Searching an 'additional' mailbox

Sue/Randy/Ken I've got all of your books but this has fallen between the
cracks ;-) (Or I've missed it).

Can anyone give me the 'best way' (or even a way that works) to search
through an 'additional' mailbox inbox and include subfolders. (note: I have
to assume that desktop search may not be installed., although all clients
will be OL2007)

Initially I was hoping to access the 'additional' mailboxes 'Search folders'
but they seem impossible to access from the primary mailbox.

Thanks Sue, :)
Exchange 2007 export-mailbox is great for administrative type operations,
but not really for the users I'm writing for.
My other approach could be accessing a pre-created search folder in the
additional mailbox from the primary mailbox? Is that possible?

Hi Peter! There's nothing on it, because there's no support for that in
Outlook. You'd have to search each subfolder individually.

As I understand it, though, Exchange 2007 itself does have some good
search
capability. Maybe this article will help:

I don't think search folders are available, but that should be easy enough
for you to test.

I have not experimented with Redemption's ability to work with search
folders. Maybe it's possible to do an RDOSession.Logon directly to the other
mailbox and get to a search folder that way. If search folders aren't an
option, then Redemption does have very performant table operations, so you
could search each folder individually.

FYI, microsoft.public.outlook.program_vba would be a better place to post
any follow-up to this, as I'm not sure how often Dmitry checks this newsgroup
for Redemption issues.
