Search subfolders in Outlook 2007 Advanced Find by default.

Is there a way to have Advanced Find search subfolders by default? It's a
pain to have to check this box every time.

Unfortunately, Microsoft appears to have broken that particular feature. OL
2003 would remember. OL 2007 won't.

Microsoft,

Wake up and set the search sub-folders option to default to yes or give us a
way to make it work that way by default. Exactly how many people does it
take to complain about a broken feature to get this behemoth to shift course
a tenth of a degree???

My vote: they need to turn this back on by default - this is a real
productivity killer.

You're right, I changed to the search tool Lookeen. You can add any folder
to the Lookeen-index. That also means normal system-folders.

If's you're interested in Lookeen, you can download a 14-day-trial on their
homepage: http://www.lookeen.net

I agree with Steve. For such a simple thing, it irritates me to no end
to have to click search subfolders each time. What MS dummy changed
this?
And while you are at it make Advanced Search available from the right
click again. I used it extensively and now its gone in Outlook 2007.
What MS dummy removed that?

You are addressing the users of a public newsgroup, not Microsoft.

Google Groups copy of old thread:

Another "me too" post on a 16-month old thread. Next time, check the
datestamps.

What did you expect us *users* here in Usenet to do about Microsoft's code?
Usenet is not a venue for free support from Microsoft. We users here eat
the apples. We didn't grow the tree.

What is Usenet (newsgroups):
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Usenet
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Newsgroups
http://www.masonicinfo.com/newsgroups.htm
http://www.mcfedries.com/Ramblings/usenet-primer.asp

When using a webnews-for-dummies interface, like Microsoft's Communities or
Google Groups or a forum-to-Usenet proxy, those are gateways to leech from
Usenet or to provide web-based access for Usenet-ignorant users. Despite
the appearance of a forum, you are still participating in Usenet.
