search sites on task bar??

Rudy Schoenfeld

I need some help with this. I am getting search sites on my task bar. I am running Norton 2005. I have used Housecall to double check.
I am also using spybot, adware and I am also running Microsoft Anti spyware.
My computer shows that it is clean but I keep getting these search websites popping up on my task bar.
When I click on them to open they won't but seem to slide under the clock on the task bar and when I click on it again it comes back to the task bar. When I right click and choose maximize it opens.
Nothing in Add/Remove programs that I can see that is different and in the task manager in processes it comes up as iexplore.exe same as when I open the internet.
Can someone help me with this?
Rudy

Apparently your machine is not clean. Have you updated Spybot S & D,
Ad-Aware and Microsoft Antispyware?

Spybot S & D 1.3 latest detection update: 2005-01-06.

Ad-Aware SE Personal 1.05 build 1501
Definitions file SE1R25 11.01.2005

Thanks for putting in the latest updates as I did not have the latest
adware. I was running adware 6. When I installed SE I got another 79 items
with 2 browser hacks.
Thanks again Wesley,
Much appreciated!!

Rudy,

Udate your antiscumware and antivirus software before each use. They are
virtually worthless otherwise.

Glad it worked out. Keep having fun! :)
