Search not working..also not getting the lock window option with ALT+CTL+DEL

I am searching for a word in a group of files and XP
gives a stupid message saying "Search is complete. There
are no results to display". I know the word exists in the
files. I am using standard preferences and I did not
select any options (like date or size) for search.
I have XP professional version.
Also I do not get the lock window option with ALT+CTL+DEL

Has anybody experienced above problems, is there a patch
availiable for this.

Suggestions and Checkpoints:

Go to Windows Explorer/View/Explorer Bar/Search. If you have Yahoo
Companion installed, disable it and try again. Download and install version
1173 of mshtml.dll: http://tinyurl.com/80up
