Search key not found in any record

HI,

Some of the fields in one of my records displays some junk characters. Am
not allowed to make any changes or even delete the record. I get the
message Search key not found in any record.

Any help to sort out this record?

This sounds like a corrupted table. Have you already tried to run
compact and repair?

If this doesn't work, you have to copy the data into a new table.

The problem i have is only with ONE RECORD. The rest of the table is quite
fine.

Could it still be a corrupted table? Compact and repair didnt work.

Yes: it is a corruption of either the data in the table, or of the index in
the table, or a pointer to another location.

Either way, it's a matter of copying the valid records into a new table, and
dumping the old one as Stefan said.
