Search Companion does not find words

I have Windows XP Home Version 5.1, Service Pack 1. If I try to use Windows Explorer Search Companion with the option to find "A word or phrase in the file", it always comes back with "There were no files found", even when I know many files contain the word or phrase. Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

There are steps that can be taken to enhance search capability in XP, but
they pale in comparison to this free ad-on. Try it...
