search assistant

please can someone help if you right click on the
taskbar

go to toolbars there is some thing called search assistant
and I can not get rid of it
When my computer is fully loaded the search assistant is
on the taskbar and and puts me on the internet

But I still cannot stop it from loading up with my pc
even when you untick it

Try uninstalling the application called 'WindowsSA'. This garbage was deposited on your computer via the Internet when you downloaded something that you thought was innocuous. To uninstall it click on Start>Control Panel>Add or Remove Programs. Then scroll down to the 'Currently Installed Program' titled 'Windows SA'. Click on this item and then click 'Change/Remove' to uninstall this piece of crap.
I had the same problem and resorted to a registry hack to correct the problem until I discovered that a simpler solution was available. Hope this helps.
