SDRAM 100 or 133?

Only it ain't spam.

It is. It most definitely is. I understand the desire to define "spam"
such that it's content-neutral and easy to identify by machine. But such a
definition is utterly useless.

Spam is simply about unsolicited content sent to multiple destinations.
Any off-charter post to a USENET newsgroup qualifies. USENET is an automated
mechanism for sending content to multiple interested parties. People solicit
content by reading those newsgroups whose topics they are intersted in.

There is no meaningful definitional distinction between a USENET group
and a mailing list.

It wasn't anywhere close to being spam. It was an on topic response
that went to the same three newsgroups that the original poster
posted to, and which happened to mention, briefly, that the poster
sells the sort of thing the original poster was interested in.
Nothing even remotely objectionable about it.

You're right. I looked too quickly and misread the unusual brackets. The
post was entirely appropriate.

Not sure what type of memory I need,

I just went to the store and got a 128 sdram pc 100,
Works great.

Just curious I wonder if "all" sdram is supposed to work interchangeabley.
even if at the lowest bus speed.
I mean it all fits. (standard dimms).
and an industry standard known as SDRAM.

Why make incompatible chips that fit?

These seem to be the same dimms that go in the big cisco routers.
I wonder if those are the same thing too?.

No.

The standard doesn't cover everything needed for interoperability.
Why make incompatible chips that fit?

Because it would be nearly impossible to design the right set of
connectors such that only compatible units fit together. This would require
imagining a massive number of possible physical configurations.
These seem to be the same dimms that go in the big cisco routers.
I wonder if those are the same thing too?.

Usually not. Most of the Ciscos require ECC.
