Scrolling problem

I recently had to reinstall XP due to a virus. Since the install, I get a "wavy" motion when I either move a box with the mouse or use the scroll button. I get the movement, but everything is much slower, and like I said earlier, very wavy. I have tried everything with the mouse option in the control panel. Any advice?

Visit the website of the manufacturer of your computer
or video card and download/install the appropriate Windows XP
drivers.

Afterward, right-click on your Desktop and select:
Properties > Setting and adjust your Screen Resolution
settings, then select "Highest (32 bit) Color Quality setting,
and click "apply".
