Scrolling problem in Outlook 2003

I have an IBM ThinkPad with XP Pro. I installed Outlook 2003 and have a problem
using the TrackPoint to scroll an open HTML note. The middle button on the
TrackPoint acts like the wheel on a mouse and the scrolling function works in
all other parts of Outlook 2003 including scrolling through my inbox messages
and scrolling through an open text message. The only thing that doesn't work is
scrolling through an open HTML message. Outlook Express does not have this
issue. Any ideas or suggestions?

Your mouse complaint is certainly not the only one we are seeing on the
groups, since SP2. It would be my opinion that you are seeing a problem that
won't fix without a driver written for SP2. IBM, no doubt will point at
Windows, ands MS will point at the IBM mouse driver. That's all well and
good, security needs, blah, blah, but Intellipoint is doing it too, on some
hardware.
I see the 'scroll bug' in IE, and would guess it is something in MSHTML.DLL,
since office, and IE both use that. For my system, it also appears in menu
popups (submenus)

My suggestion is 'workaround, and wait for Santa' <g>
