script error

When I attempt to access my HP Photo and Imaging Director for my HP 2210xi
printer, I get the following message:

If I select 'yes' I get a second error message -

This just started yesterday 10/18/05; I hadn't made any changes and the only
thing I remember happening was a MS update.

HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Does uninstalling the update KB896688 from Add/Remove programs help?
