Very recent problem (last two days)
After Windows has been running for a few minutes a small
greyed out dialog box titled frmscr appears. You can't
click on this but 'underneath' it. Anyhow when you do
this another dialog box comes up which is titled "Run time
error '384':" the message is " A form can't be moved or
sized while minimised or maximised". Now whenever this
happens my taskbar disappears which is a real pain. I can
still operate but without the taskbar it is no fun at all.
I have downloaded the latest Windows Updates and service
pack 4 but to no avail.
Please help.

This may be a screen saver that is trying to run. Right (secondary) click on
a blank area on your desktop, choose Properties, select the Screen Saver
tab, and see what screen saver is set. Try choosing a different one or
possibly None. Hopefully this will resolve the problem.
