I like Screenshot Captor because it has:
- easy adding of text annotations
- easy adding of red circles and other shapes
- auto-scroll capture of an entire window's contents

Combine this with CamStudio for doing video capture and you've got a
complete freeware alternative to SnagIt.

But Camstudio doesn't run since some new Windows versions (is it a matter of
new DirectX components?). I mean: Camstudio isn't able to record streaming
videos.
