"bsplayer137.826.exe" comes to me without adware, infected is
"bsplayer139.829.exe" (I don't know about 1.38). Or there is a
later infected installer for the same version. My 1.37 has
2.897.821 bytes from 12.12.2005, 12:07:35.

As I read their license, distribution is not possible ("You may
not [...] in any way distribute or transfer [...] the Software to
third parties without Licensor's written approval.")

Hopefully the creators will come to their senses and remove it soon

My apologies, this is from their site under 1.38
It's still not good though.

If you want you can remove it though by killing this process VVSN.exe
and then delete the VVSN directory under program files.

It's still not good though.

I'm not sure, what you have written and what is a cite from where,
but following that we can label 1.37 as "last freeware version".
I just installed it, SpyBot found nothing (on 1.39 even my antivirus
NOD32 removed the setup before I was even able to install) and also
I do not have any VVSN.exe/VVSN directory.

I only wrote this because in your first posting you mentioned 1.36
as "the last without adware"...

I also have version 1.37 build 826 11 Dec 2005 and there is no spyware
or VVSN.exe file anywhere on my 'puter. Never saw anything like Whenu
Save! at any time. You sure of your versions?

But I also just read the following post regarding this problem:

"um.. people, you can remove the adware without disabling the program!!

Just kill the process named VVSN.exe and then delete the VVSN directory
under program files.

I know, it's a PITA, but bare with it. The devs get cash for each
install, Which means more releases"
