shut off. I have even installed different screensavers and spywar
protection. I have a microsoft wireless mouse. The screensaver ha
never worked. Does anyone have any further suggestions to get it t

Uninstall PowerDVD ? - why was that.

If you go to Display Properties, Screen Saver (TAB) and pick a SS
and then click "Preview" - do you see the Screen Saver ? What is
the inactivity timer value set to (15 Minutes)?

If you have more than a single account - I'd log into the alternate
account & set the inactivity timer to 1-2 minutes and test it in that
account. Did you check the Support/Forum for your model on
Gateway's website and see if others are experiencing the same issue.

One thing your post indicates is a little "Random/Unrelated" attempts
to resolve the issue. The more things you change/toggle the harder it
becomes to fix the core/original issue.

Hi

Is this one of the Windows screensavers or a 3rd party one you have
installed?

Hi Whitehorse
Do you have a wireless MS mouse and keyboard by any chance? If you do that
is your problem. The latest versions of most of the MS mouse software causes
the screensaver and power settings not to work.

I removed the PowerDVD because one of the post when I checked them ou
said this is one of the problems with the screensaver.

But, I removed the wireless mouse, and the screensaver seems to b
working now.

Thank you for all the help.
