My screensaver doesn't work

I have Windows XP Professional, but the screensaver function doesn't work.
I've been told that there could be somo kind of incompatibility with the
Microsoft wireless keyboard-mouse, but really don't know the reason. Please
help.

Thank you TaurArian.

Is there some patch available to make the screensaver work with the optical
wireless mouse? I can't understand that Microsoft sells 2 products
(hardware-software) that are incompatible between them.
