Screensaver invocation

We have a problem when the screensaver is automatically invoked by the OS -- it doesn't appear to have the correct path as defined by the environment variable(s). When we invoke the screensaver through Windows Explorer (double-click), the screensaver appears and the program works correctly. If the screensaver is invoked by the OS, the screensaver appears but the program does not have the correct environment so subsequent operations fail.

Can anyone explain why this is happening or, more importantly, how we can get it to work correctly?

Thanks
Elly

You've posted this message three times. Once is sufficient.

I don't understand what you mean when you say "the screensaver appears but
the program does not have the correct environment so subsequent operations
fail." What operations are you referring to? In what way do they fail?
Why do you think this is related to the environment? If the path to the
screensaver were incorrect, it couldn't be loaded at all.
