Screen resolution to high after boot in safe mode

Guest

I have a large monitor so I set my screen resolution very high. I am giving
my computer to my son and he has a small monitor. I reset the screen
resolution to 800 x 600.

However, when I reboot in safe mode, the screen resolution is still very high
and the utility to change to resolution doesn't work in safe mode.

Help appreciated, Thanks in advance.

[[In safe mode, you have access to only basic files and drivers (mouse,
monitor, keyboard, mass storage, base video, default system services, and no
network connections).]]

[[In Safe mode, the computer does not start the video adapter driver that is
used during normal operations.]]

[[Enable VGA Mode: This option starts Windows in 640 x 480 mode by using the
current video driver (not Vga.sys). This mode is useful if the display is
configured for a setting that the monitor cannot display.]]

[[The default Microsoft VGA driver is used for display at 640 x 480
resolution and in 16 colors.]]
