screen resolution prob

Hi,
I can't change my screen resolution from 800 x 600 to a higher resolution
like 1024x 768 .To run the software CD from my digicam.I'm currently using
windows Xp and nvidia Gforce4 MX 440 graphics card.can anyone help?thanks

Try downloading (from NVIDA, not Microsoft's driver updates) the latest
drivers for your video card.

Are you using Microsoft's driver or the manufacturer's? Typically using the
drivers form Microsfot give you the most basic ability, for enhanced/advanced
features you should load the driver(s) and utilities supllied by the card
manufacturer or download form their web site.

Gforce4 MX 440 is not supported in XP, meaning there is "no driver" in XP,
you will have to go to nvidia.com for drivers.

Thx for your help,I have downloaded the latest driver,but i still
cant change the screen resolution,its still at 800 x 600.....by the way,i'm
using a samsung lcd tv as my monitor,does this affect it?

Hi Craig,
I have jus downloaded the latest nvidia driver but it still
doesn't give me the option to change to 1024x 768..am using a samsung lcd
monitor,is this the cause?

the nvidia driver,but how can i know if its running on which?

Right click on My Computer/Properties/Hardware/Device manager/Display
Manager +/Right click on your Graphics card/Properties/Driver
