Screen Resolution Help, please

I have recently had to reinstall my windows XP due to a virus. My screen
resolution used to work perfect at 1064x768. Now when I try to change it from
800x600, it doesn't. Nothing at all changes. How do I fix that? The pages
scroll so slow when it's at 800x600 resolution.

Thanks in advance.

Install the drivers for your display adapter (it's either a graphics card, or integrated
motherboard chip). If your system was purchased from a company like Dell, you should have
a separate CD with Drivers and Utilities. If not, go to the web site of the maker, click
the support and/or downloads link. Usually if you enter your system model number and/or
serial number (both found on the back of the tower), the various components are listed,
making it easier to determine which Windows XP compatible display adapter (graphics card)
drivers you need to download and install.
