screen resolution...please help!

My screen resolution is set at 800x600 but every 10 mins when I am connected
to AOL the screen goes black then jumps to 640x480. Its really annoying and
always happens when I'm in the middle of an important task. I have to reset
to 800x600 but it just jumps back again. AOL say they cant help me so I was
wondering if anyone out there had any advice. It never happens when I am not
connected to AOL. I am on windows XP and using a Radeon 9550 graphics card.

Remove AOL from your computer. Never install it on another computer
again. It is trash. Unfortunately, the only way to rid your computer of
the AOL infection is to reformat and clean install XP.

Then get a decent ISP that doesn't run amok in your registry.
