Screen resolution changes

Hello -

I use a screen resolution of 640x480. It requires some tweaking to get this
resolution, but it is comfortable to my poor eyesight.

Sometime, for no apparent reason, I find the resolution has changed to
800x600. I believe that this happens on startup, maybe once every ten
startups.

Is there any way to force the computer to hold the 640x480? This isn't a
serious problem, but is a nuisance and requires several steps to reset to
this uncommon resolution.

Hi Drew,

There is a tool called quickres on www.dougknox.com that can help you
quickly change resolutions when this occurs (not that it should happen, you
might want to try updating your display driver).
