Windows XP Image Size

Don

I am running Windows XP Home Edition with SP2 and all updates, and Internet
Explorer 6.0 on my desktop. I recently installed a 19 inch wide-screen
monitor and have it set at it's native resolution of 1440X900 pixels. The
problem I am having is with some webpages, the text is so small it's
unreadable. I know I can change the screen resolution back to say 800X600 and
have a full-screen image for websites, but that seems to be a misuse of a
high-resolution monitor. I have two questions:
1. Is there a way in XP to magnify parts of the screen (like a magnifying
glass)?
2. Can I set up the computer as if there were two users and have one user's
screen resolution at 1440X900 and the other one at 800X600? If so, how would
you go about this?
Would appreciate any help or suggestions you may offer.

I suggest that you update to IE7 so you can take advantage of the page and
zoom controls in it. You can do things like zoom in and out with the mouse
wheel, etc.

I would concur, however you can set another Profile in your current logon.
I have my non widescreen set to 1280x1024 and sometimes I use my Microsoft
keyboard (4000 model) to zoom. The other thing is in accessibility options
you can use the magnifier. I had the same problem so I have one flat panel
tft non widescreen for web surfing and a 22" widescreen to watch dvds and
hi-def stuff on because my PC has replaced my DVD player, VCR, TV
everything.
