I was fiddling about with my display settins and accidently changed my screen
resolution and now it is a funny shape/size. When i go back in to change it,
it only gives me the option of 800x600 or 1024x768. I'm sure mine was
something inbetween before, is there any way i can get my old screen
resolution back!?

Sounds like you may need to update your video driver. Go to the website of
the maker of your computer and download the latest video drivers for your
model and operating system (Windows XP most likely). Run the install routine
and reboot your computer. Now set your video resolution to the native
resolution setting of your monitor. See the owner's manual for that
information. You can download that information from the website of the maker
of your monitor.
