screen not updated after changes made

my screen sometimes is not the most current after action
which should update it. if i manually "refresh" it
becomes the current one.

Which screens? If Windows Explorer, the behavior you describe is normal.
New files and folders are typically added to the end of a list until you
manually apply the sort order or do a refresh.
