Scheduled scan does not work

I deployed via SMS Windows Defender Beta 2 to a few PCs in the company and
everything looks OK including the definitions from our WSUS server.

After the install, the default scan schedule was set to Daily 2AM. However,
even though the PCs were ON it did not scan. So, I set the schedule to Daily
12PM and checked "Check for updated definitions before scanning" and "Apply
default actions to items detected during a scan".

However, out of the 6 PCs I'm testing only 1 PC did run the scheduled scan.
The
other 5 PCs did not scan. All of these users have the same rights.

What could be the cause of this?

Thanks.

Scheduled scans are done via the Windows Scheduled Tasks service. So--check
that Task Scheduler is started and set to automatic. On XP, the job is a
hidden task.

Have you set the app not to do real-time protection? Another user just
fingered this as the cause of failed scheduled scans on his systems.

Real-time protection is on.

Thanks- I think that one turned out to be erroneous anyway. No linkage on
my system anyway, I saw your other message about the error message, and
that does seem possibly quite relevant. I'll try to reply to that thread,
but I'm wondering what other "protective" software might be running on
systems seeing this error?
