Scary error message

When I boot up or get on the internet/check e-mail, I'm
getting a message that says my IEDLL.exe file may be
corrupt, and I'm advised to reinstall it. Well, I don't
see the file on the ME disk, so I'm assuming this is one
of those files that is magically created because something
triggers it when you boot up, OR, I've got a virus of some
kind. I just purchased McAfee or however you spell it
virus software, so I'm hoping there isn't a virus and my
friends at McAfee missed it. But I can hope all I want,
and that won't remove the error message.

Any suggestions? I did try deleting the file, and that
didn't seem to have any adverse affects - but the message
appeared again when I rebooted.

Thanks -

David,

Did a search on Google. You can usually search around and find a lot; not to
distrust everything you see, and get paranoid. But, go to the site and read
down thru all of the posts before you download and use Mr. Charlies fixit
tool. He's probably okay, because it is on "Annoyances" website. The deal is
to "trust, but varify", lilke Reagan said. Here's the link. BTW, this is not
and ME forum, but glad I could help. been there...blah blah blah
