Windows attempts to access the internet

On booting my computer running W2K, after I installed McAfee virus scan, i
get a message every time I boot up that Windows is attempting to access the
internet. I am given the option to allow it or deny it. The file in question
is c:\Program files\support.com\client\bin\tgcmd.exe.
This happens immediately after I boot. Should I delete this file? What is
the purpose of the folder support.com anyway?
Hope somebody can answer this.

Do a Google search on "tgcmd.exe". It's either spyware or something
that your ISP installed, it seems all bets are still open on it.
Personally it's not something I would want on my pc.

That's not a very good way to remove programs. Look in Control Panel>
Add/Remove Programs and see if it can be uninstalled from there. If it
can't be done there look in the support.com folder, there might be an
uninstaller there. Or do a Google search for "uninstall tgcmd.exe" or
"remove tgcmd.exe". You could just remove it from the program startup
entries and leave it installed, that way you won't "break" anything.
