scanning resume

every time i scan my resume into microsoft word or my documents, it is coming
up looking like greek writing...how do i get it to change to normal writing

Someone had done a resume for me a while ago and had given a hard copy of it
to me. I recently went to scan it in my computer so I can have a copy to
e-mail to different companies. I first tried to scan it into my documents and
then i scanned into microsoft word, and both places it is not legible. It
looks like greek writing or some kind of mixed up letters and symbols. Please
help...Thank you

Hi Marina,

When you scan a document, it is a picture. To change the document to
text, you should use an application like OmniPage which does OCR
(optical character recognition).

If you don't want to convert to text, you can [Insert] the 'picture'
into a word document.
