scanners won,t load

I have xp and have tried to load 2 scanners and it keeps saying not connected
with the canon bjc-80 it won't load the drivers what am i missing
 
ok got the software in now it's saying cannot communicte with scanner scanner
may be offline or cable may be disconnected check scanner status scanner
driver will be closed
 
Is the Canon bjc-80 the scanner that's not working and the other scanner is
still working ok?

no either of the scanners will work I have an visioneer 5600 and this won't
run eitheron the laptop it works fine on my desktop. the canon printer works
great so i know it's connecting but the isscan part won't keeps sayin can't
connect

nope didn't work for some reason it's not connecing the canon printer prints
with this cable but won't scan I don't no if i told you this was a parrell
printer and i had to convert it to usb to paraell for it to work on my laptop
i got the cable to do this but nothing .
 
Hi, I seem to have had a very similar problem to this. I had an Epson
Perfection 1250 scanner, which seemed to spontaneously stop working. It was
creating the same error messages. I then bought a CanoScan LiDE 70 which also
had the same problem. Epson support have tried numerous things with the
Windows Image Acquisition (WIA) software and re-installing the drivers,
however this has been no help. Both the scanners work on another computer.
Both are running Windows xp SP2, so I can't work out why they work on one
computer but not another!

IIRC, you can't have 2 scanners connected at once... Someone
enlightened someone else about that recently....
