scanner

I have had my scanner for at least four years but have never used it. I
installed it when I first got my computer system and tests showed it was
ready for use.

Today I wanted to use it and although there is power going to the scanner
and it is plugged into the original usb port I keep getting a message that
the computer cannot detect the scanner what do I do?

go to the website
for the scanners maker
and check out the f.a.q.'s
and download patches and updates.

else, your scanner could
be uncompatiable....

Pay particular attention to the Twain drivers, did you install them along
with the other software?

There might be an option to "Select Twain Device", "Select Scanner" or
similar. Once you've decided on the proper device, try "acquiring" or
scanning from it again.
