Hi there. I am adding a Minlota dual image 3 film
scanner. I have all the software.. but Xp will not
recognize it as a USB port. it only lets me select
parallel or com por 1 or 2.. what is the workaround for
this?

Did you install the software before connecting the scanner to the USB port?

yes indeed, In fact I was in MS WORD and I can import from the DS 3
there without any problem. same from MS PUBLISHER,

It still does not show in the scanner and camera area of XP, which
then it will not allow me to use it in Adobe Photoshop 7

It seems Photshop wants it to be seen in the Scanner and Camera area
of XP.

So that is where I am stuck at.. XP will allow me to set up the
scanner, right up until it asks for the port.. This is on a belkin 2.0
usb pci card, again the card is set up ok as I can scan into most
applications, just xp does not let me select usb port in the
scanner/camera set up of adding a imaging device
