scanner (epson 1660)

Help. XP won't accept scanner. Says I have to look in
file usbscan.sys in service pack 1 c-d. Have downloaded
all updates and still no ballgame. Am considering new
carreer in trash removal. Anybody know what this means?

Try download xp drivers at ftp://ftp.epson.com/drivers/epson10404.exe
 
Did you install the xp drivers for this scanner from Epson ? If you did so
correctly following the detailed directions, it should work fine.
