Scanjet 4300c. New, bad driver (Twain)

On my new PC with XP I had to install a new driver for my scanner (HP
Scanjet 4300c). The old driver for Win95/98 did not work well with XP. I
searched for and found a driver called "sj657en". At HP's pages there
was no driver for XP to find!
But I was disappointed. No way to adjust anything but Brightness and
Contrast and DPI. Or have I missed something there? Anyone else with a
suchlike scanner / driver ? With my old driver I could do much more
before scanning?

Yes, I have an old scanner. Yes, I will buy a new one, but to satisfy
all my needs I think I will have one flatbed (Epson 3200?) and one
dedicated film scanner.
But before I have that, I would like to control my scanning with my old
equipment...

Hello Ragnar,

"sj657en" is HP's the correct driver for your HP ScanJet 4300 c with Windwos
XP. Since you have upgraded from Windows 98, try downloading and installing
the "sj656en".
