I'm thinking about replacing my HP Scanjet IIc with a Xerox
7600i.
My reasons for replacing the HP:
It requires a SCSI card, which slows the bootup of Windows7.
It's a fluorescent-lit scanner, making it slow to get into
action.
It seems slow to scan a full page.
Max res is only 400 dpi (ok for most things I do).
It's 20 years old or so, and I'm told HP will give me the
finger if I need a replacement belt or other part.
I'd be very interested to know from other users of the Xerox
if they think I'd be happy with the change.
