Scan to the Microsoft Works Word program

I have a HP Office Jet 4110 with scanning capabilities.

On my HP Pavilion a410e computer I have a Microsoft Works
Word program.

However, when I use HP Director to scan editable text
with OCR, I do not have the SCAN TO option of Microsoft
Works Word program. All I have in the SCAN TO options are
e-mail, word pad and to all files.

Shouldn't I have the SCAN TO option of Microsoft Works
Word, since I have the program on the computer? How can
I get the SCAN TO option of Microsoft Works Word, so
that I can edit the text with the OCR I have?.

This is not an XP (operating system) issue. You need to look on HP's
support site for your particular scanner and see if they have an update
or enhancement to their scanning software. The recognition of the
programs available to scan to comes from HP's software, not Windows.
