Sax Riff

I recently upgraded to XP Professional. Periodically,
there a few notes play from what sounds like a
saxophone. It happens on eneven intervals, at least
every half hour or so. It is driving me crazy!!! I
can't make it stop. What is it? Help me, I beg you.
