I have created a doc and saved it in 2007. How can i change the extn from
docx to doc ie to save it in 2000 or XP instead.

Kindly advise

Thank you

Save it from Word 2007 as Word 97-2003 format.

Click the Office logo button (upper left corner of the Word window)... it's
the rough equivalent of the File menu in earlier versions of Word. Save,
Save As, New, etc. are there.

You can also add Save/Save As/etc buttons to the Quick Access Toolbar (which
is above the ribbon, in the Word title bar, but can be moved to below the
ribbon [right click the QAT for options] if desired).

Some tools are pre-set for easy addition to the QAT. Click the right end of
the QAT, and click to place a check next to commands you'd like to appear.
For commands not listed, you can right-click just about anything in the Word
2007 interface and choose Add to Quick Access Toolbar. Or, right-click the
QAT and choose Customize.

Hi! Thanks so much, Herb, for that post. That helped me A LOT! I was trying
to find "Save As" also, as well as other things, and that did the trick for
all of them.

Have a good one!
