My Word 2007 documents are saving as .docx



When attaching Word 2007 documents to my emails I noticed that some of them
have saved as .docx documents. Can anyone tell me why and how I go about
saving them as .doc? Also, when I receive an attachment that is .docx I can't
open it? Help!

Docx is the default file format for Word 2007. If you want to save as doc
use SaveAs Word 97-2003 format.
If you save the docx attachment to the hard drive, can you open it from
within Word 2007?
