Saving PP files

Is there a problem saving files that are newer PP versions versus PP from
Win2000? I had someone send me PP files they created in XP and I could view
them, but the ones I created in Win2000 PP I could not find! I saved them and
when I looked at all of the files the ones I created were no where to be
found. I started to save after I created each one but these seem to
disappear. At the bottom of the viewer it would show 2 of 34, 16 of 34 but it
should have been 2 of 50 or 16 of 50. Are newer versions of PP not compatable
with older versions? I don't remember it giving me a choice of extensions on
saving like older versions of Micro Word. Any idea? Thanks

If by 'PP' you mean PowerPoint, then you may getter better results by
posting in a PowerPoint newsgroup.
