Saving pictures - help needed please!

,When I put my Flash Card in the Card Reader a screen appears headed
"Microsoft Scanner and Camera Wizard", asking what I want Windows to do. I
highlight "Copy pictures to a folder" but instead of creating a folder and
putting the pictures in it all that happens is that it uploads all the
pictures separately and there is no folder.
This has only happened recently, previously it created a folder, asked me to
name it and then put all the pictures into it.
What is happening - is it me or what?
Words of one syllable please - I am a wrinkly dinosaur!!
 
Is that folder that was successfully created previously still there? If so,
when you are saving the pictures, point Windows to the folder. Sometimes
Windows forgets what it is doing and why it is doing it.
