Saving MOV extension files on a CD

I need to send a set of 20 to 25 MOV extension files (jazz drum sequences
downloaded from drumworld.com) to my young drumming novice grandson, since
he wants to see the great drummers in action. I tried saving them on a CD
using Windows Explorer in XP. Did not work. W E does not recognize the CD
placed in either the Samsung Combo drive or the Sony DVD drive, even though
I have burnt VCDs and DVD-Rs on both of them. Is there any way to save all
the 25 MOV files on a CD-R with either of these drives?

As an alternative, I also tried to burn a VCD of these files with NeroVision
3 which worked fine but while converting the MOV files into mpeg files, Nero
has clipped the first few frames in each MOV file - the very frames which
provide the ID of the drummer and the concert from which the recording has
been done, in the background. Alternatively, therefore, is there any way to
convert the MOV files into Nero acceptable mpeg files without losing the
initial frames?

From one grandpa to another - try this. Create a new CD by burning
something to it other than a MOV file - try a few JPG files. Close out the
CD, open the drawer and close the drawer again so XP tries to open the CD
and hopefully recognizes the CD as a data/media disk. Then add your MOV
files to the CD using copy and paste. What I have found in the past is if
there are only MOV files in a folder (not just any movie file - MOV files),
XP will not recognize the folder as data or media and will not know what
default action to use. See if that works. Good luck.

Use Nero and not Nero Vision, making sure to finalize the disc when done.

I think he is actually trying to convert them to a Video CD or DVD (video)
format, rather than just put the files on a disk, so his grandson can watch
them on a DVD player.

I don't know why anyone except Mac users use MOV files. They always look
poor quality, and the player won't even do full screen properly.

Thanks. The problem was solved by selecting Nero Express 6 out of the
various applications installed in the Nero suite and using the Data CD
option for burning.
